September 20, 2016On Thursday night at Hilliard Davidson, Liberty delivered three victories with JVB winning 7-0, JVA 2-0, and Varsity capping off the evening with a 5-1 win.
In the Varsity match, the score was knotted 1-1 at halftime, but second half adjustments to both the challenging field conditions and tactics yielded four second half goals and the Pattys second straight 5-1 victory. Liberty’s goals were scored by Abby Townsend (2), Abby Jones, Mara Follmer and Sarina Dirrig. The Patriots are now 6-1-0 on the season and return home on Tuesday vs. Westerville South in an OCC Buckeye Division matchup.
In the JVA match, goals were scored by Emma Lindsey (assist Jenna Hastings) and Laura Bichsel. JVA improves its record to 5-1-1.
Goals scorers in the JVB victory were Hannah Siefring (2), Audra Hetrick, Isabelle Blondin, Maddie Flanagan, Elise Hecker and Tatum Perkins. JVB has five consecutive wins and is now 5-1-2.
