Liberty’s JVA and Varsity Girls Soccer teams both won by large margins on Tuesday in a conference matchup with Westerville South.

wsouth1 The final score of the Varsity match was 12-2, as the Pattys record moves to 7-1-0 on the season and 2-0-0 in conference.  Abby Townsend scored what may be a school record five goals in one match and Abby Jones added two. Goals were also scored by Sophie Fallieras, Ellie Bambeck, Madison Rapier, Sydney Weaver and Sarina Dirrig. Assists were contributed by Sheila Colbert, Lyndsey Kijowksi, Dirrig (2), Fallieras (2), Jones (2), Townsend and Bambeck.  Liberty outshot Westerville South 27-10 on the evening, and every player who was available to compete saw considerable action.

wsouth3In the JVA match, the team improved their record to  6-1-1 and goals were scored by Laura Bichsel (2), Cameron Fike, Jenna Geier, Emily Milisavljevich, Emma Niktash and Jenna Hastings. Assists went to Bichsel, Fike, Geier, Lauren Brady and Hastings.

Next up is a highly anticipated matchup at home on Thursday evening vs. Pickerington North. Pickerington North is currently ranked #1 in the Central District and #6 in the State, with Liberty at #3 and receiving votes in the state coaches poll but not ranked in the top ten.

JVA kickoff is 5:30PM followed by Varsity at 7:15PM.
