After an emotional and exhausting win vs. #5 Coffman on Tuesday where the Pattys also secured a second consecutive conference championship, Liberty fought off fatigue and some nagging injuries to register 5 goals against a Grove City team that entered the match with a record of 9-2-2.

Liberty opened the scoring early when Senior Jordan Fike scored on a great move, with the assist provided by Senior Hailey Pickelheimer in the 11th minute.  The Pattys would strike again in the 25th minute when Junior Sophie Fallieras sent a crossing pass to Junior Sarina Dirrig, who buried the chance and extended the lead to 2-0. However, Liberty finished the half very flat, and would need more energy in the second half to lift the squad.

The Pattys responded, and additional goals were delivered by Sophomore Olivia Sensky on an assist from Sophomore Natalie Amodeo, a second Dirrig goal on a feed from Junior Kenzie Coyne, and the final goal from Coyne with an assist from Junior Ellie Bambeck.

In the JVA match, the Pattys continued their solid play to secure a 2-0 win, with both goals scored by Sophomore Madison Rapier. Brooke Severance was credited with an assist.

The Varsity Patriots now stand at 8-4-1 overall and 6-0-0 in the conference, and return to action on Saturday morning at 10:00AM to continue the match vs. Watterson that was suspended due to lightning on the original date. Admission is free and the first 120 students to arrive get free donuts!

GO PATTYS!
