Patriots Drop Intra-District Matchup With Orange (9/19/15)

The Varsity Pattys had momentum coming off a very strong team effort on Tuesday vs. Marysville, but struggled to deliver the same consistency and quality of play in a 0-3 loss on Saturday to Orange. Although Liberty had a distinct advantage in possession, the Patriots were not able to get organized in the attack to score, while the Pioneers capitalized on just a few counterattack opportunities against a usually stout defense to tally 3 scores on only 6 shots.

Liberty will regroup and prepare for three matches in the next seven days against Westland, DeSales and Clay (Oregon/Toledo). Despite a 3-3-0 start to the season, the Pattys are undefeated in league play and control their own destiny in their quest for a second consecutive OCC Central Division Championship.

In the earlier matches vs.Orange, JVA lost by a score of 0-1 and JVB won 2-0. JVB goals were scored by Laura Bichsel (unassisted) and Hannah Sebek assisted by Anna Kelley.

On Wednesday, JVB played to a 2-2 draw with Pickerington North, with both goals scored by Bichsel Bichsel.  JVB is now 4-1-3 on the season.
