The Pattys Varsity & JVA squads bounced back from last Thursday’s setback at Pickerington North with convincing wins over conference foe Marysville. The final scores were 5-1 (Varsity) and 6-0 (JVA), and varsity now stands 3-0-0 in the highly competitive OCC Central Division and 3-2-0 overall. The evening also featured the debut of the “Sen16rs BigHead Collection” featured below.

Marysville came into Patriots stadium with a 6-1-0 record and one of their best season starts in program history, but the Lady Monarchs were no match for the Pattys on this night, as Liberty came out strong and took control of the match from start to finish.  Included in the five goals were two outstanding finishes off corner kicks, and a sixth goal was narrowly missed after another shot off a corner hit the post and barely stayed out of the goal.

Scoring goals for Liberty were “The 3 Abbys” (Junior Abby Summers, Sophomore Abby Jones, Sophomore Abby Townsend) with non-Abby goals scored by Senior Captain Hailey Pickelheimer and Junior Sarina Dirrig. Assists were provided by Senior Jordan Fike, Junior Emma Koshan, Sophomore Olivia Sensky, and Senior Captains Emma Waters and Hailey Pickelheimer. Junior Goalkeeper Emma Campbell registered five saves.

In the JVA match, goals were contributed by Madison Rapier (2), Brooke Severance (2), Lyndsey Kijowski and Malia Follmer, with assists from Kijowski (2), Malia Follmer and Cameron Gordon. JVA’s season record now stands at 2-3-0.

Next up for the Pattys is non-Conference intra-district opponent Olentangy Orange this Saturday on Community Youth Soccer Night featuring a doubleheader of the Girls Varsity (5:15PM) and Boys Varsity (7:15PM) teams in Patriots Stadium.

GO PATTYS!
