Liberty traveled to Pickerington North on Thursday, and the Panthers avenged their 2014 loss to the Pattys by a score of 1-2. The Panthers had the better of possession throughout the match, and registered 17 shots, with 9 on goal and 7 corner kicks. Liberty Goalkeeper, Junior Emma Campbell registered 7 saves. The Patriots managed just two shots on goal.

Pick North struck first less than five minutes in with a shot from distance that found the back of the net, and continued to pressure the Pattys for the next 25 minutes while the Patriots defense held strong. In the closing 10 minutes of the first half, Liberty found some of the form that helped them to a Tuesday night win and Sophomore Abby Townsend scored with an assist from Junior Sheila Colbert resulting in a 1-1 score at half.

In the second half, Pick North maintained the advantage in possession and scored the game winner midway through the half. The Pattys were not able to match the Panther attack and the result stood at 1-2.  The Pattys are now 2-2-0 on the season, and 2-0-0 in the OCC Central Conference.

The JVA squad dropped the earlier match by a score of 0-1.

Next up is an important OCC Central Conference matchup with Marysville, who is off to one of their best starts in program history, standing at 6-1-0 and 1-1-0 in the conference.

GO PATTYS!
