The Patriots Girls Varsity Soccer team traveled to Thomas Worthington on Tuesday with an opportunity secure a second place finish in the conference with a win. But the Cardinals delivered the inspired effort, and dealt the Patty’s their second setback of the season by a score of 0-3. The Patriots conclude conference play with a record of 4-2-1 and a third place finish behind Dublin Coffman and Hilliard Davidson. The Patty’s will regroup and prepare for their final regular season match vs. Olentangy on Saturday.

The highlight of the evening was the comeback victory by the JVA squad to preserve their unbeaten season. Down 1-0 with 15 minutes to play, Trevor Paluch registered the equalizer on a crossing shot that caught the Cardinals JVA keeper off guard. With less than a minute remaining, Kenzie Coyne directed a ball into the box off a corner kick, and Hailey Pickelheimer finished the chance to secure the victory.

Match times for Saturday at Olentangy ar 11:00AM (JVA) and 1:00PM (Varsity).
