August 14, 2014Preseason preparations continued at Dublin Jerome where both teams left the match having yet to allow a goal in preseason action. The JVA match ended in a 0-0 draw, while Varsity recorded a 3-0 victory.
Once again the Patriot defense limited Jerome to very few chances. The central midfield, led by Senior Captain Emma Ranalli, disrupted Jerome’s attempts to connect and controlled possession throughout the match. Goals were notched by Jordan Fike (unassisted), Natalie Flahive (unassisted) and Kylie Slusser, calmly finishing the chance on a crossing pass from Mackenzie Coyne, who had intercepted a pass and beat her defender down the flank.
Next up is the final preseason scrimmage at Canal Winchester on Thursday.
