All three teams have started the week by adding to the win column, check out some highlights below!

JVB vs. Gahanna (9/25/17)

The JVB squad put a stop to a tough string of losses with a hard fought 3-2 win over Gahanna. Goals were scored by Tatum Perkins (2) and Maggie Edwards, and Divya Patel was credited with an assist. The JVB Pattys are 5-8 on the season and travel to Olentangy Orange tomorrow. Liberty outshot Gahanna 28-10 and had a 10-0 advantage on corners in the match.

JVA vs. Westerville North (9/26/17)

JVA continued their winning ways on Tuesday with a 1-0 win over Westerville South.  The lone goal was tallied by Nora Gilger after Katie Underhill beat her mark to the endline and slotted the pass to set up the finish.  JVA is now 6-4-2 on the season.

Varsity vs. Westerville North (9/26/17)

The Pattys entered this match on a positive track, having shutout Lakota East in sweltering heat on Saturday and then listening to motivational speaker and performance coach, Jack Slavinski, at a team dinner following training on Monday. Liberty kept the positive momentum going with a convincing 3-0 win over conference foe, Westerville North, raising the season record to 5-4-3 and 1-1-1 in conference.

The first 20 minutes of the match was evenly played with a slight edge in possession to the Warriors, but Liberty found its form and began to press the attack as the half wore on. In the 28th minute, Abby Townsend drilled a shot on goal that was initially saved by the Warriors goalkeeper, but the deflection was hit into the goal by a North defender.  The score would stand at 1-0 at the half.

The Pattys were determined to come out in the second half and build on the lead, and delivered early when Abby Townsend beat two defenders down the right flank and slotted a perfect crossing pass to Madison Rapier who buried the chance and extended the lead to 2-0 in the 43rd minute.  Liberty sealed the win in the 69th minute when Brooke Severance drove a corner kick low to the near post and Elise Koshan netted her first goal of the season on a first time blast to the lower right corner.

The win was an outstanding total team effort, with exceptional leadership and performances by senior defenders Olivia Sensky and Sydney Weaver, and goalkeeper Riley Cartwright recorded 7 saves in the shutout win.

The Pattys have some time to rest and recover after a stretch of 4 games in 8 days, and will travel next Tuesday to Westerville Central for another key conference match.

GO PATTYS!
