Next up is a second round OHSAA playoff match next Thursday after against the winner of Whetstone vs. Newark. The game will be played at Patriots Stadium at 7:00PM.

With the win, the Liberty Girls have also secured the inaugural “SuperKick Olentangy Soccer Challenge Cup”, which is awarded to the team that had the highest points in the intra-district competition between the three Olentangy High Schools. The team will also get to designate a charitable donation from SuperKick to the charity of the team’s choice. Liberty swept the competition as the Liberty Boys secured the Boys’s Cup based on their wins against Orange and Olentangy. In the JVA match, the Pattys scored with 3 minutes left in the match when Abby Jones beat two defenders and then played a beautiful diagonal ball to Ellie Bambeck who took the pass on the run and calmly buried the game winner.  Ally Piero made a key save late in the second half on a shot that deflected off a Pattys player and was headed for an own goal.  JVA ends the season UNDEFEATED at 8-0-7.
