Liberty Girls Soccer Team Reaches District Final For 3rd Straight Year With 2-1 Win Over Kilbourne (10/27/15)

October 31, 2015The Olentangy Liberty Athletics Department and Coach Kristen McMahon are pleased to share that the 2015 Olentangy Liberty Girls Soccer program has been honored with nine (9) OCC All-Conference selections, and three (3) Central Region All-District honorees, both totals matching the most in program history (same in 2014). The Pattys are ranked #6 in the region, #13 in the State (MaxPreps), stand at 12-5-1 on the season, 7-0-0 in conference and face Thomas Worthington on Saturday for the DIstrict Championshp.
The Central District Athletic Board recognizes the top Division I players in the 41 team region (comprised of almost 800 Varsity players) as “All-District” based on the votes of the head coaches. Congratulations to the Pattys All-District Team selections who are listed below!
Central Region, Divison I All-District Honorees
- Sarina Dirrig, Junior (MID/FWD) – 1st Team All-District
- Career Varsity Highlights*: 56 games started, 36 goals, 12 assists; 17 goals in 2015, All-OCC First Team (2015), All-OCC Special Mention (2014)
- Emma Waters, Senior Captain (DEF) – 3rd Team All-District
- Career Varsity Highlights*: 2 Year Captain, 58 consecutive starts, most minutes played 2013, 2014, 2015, 1 goal, 16 assists; 9 assists in 2015, All-OCC First Team (2015), All-OCC Second Team (2014)
- Jordan Fike, Senior (FWD) – 3rd Team All-District
- Career Varsity Highlights*: 36 games started, 21 goals, 19 assists; 13 assists in 2015, All-OCC First Team (2015), All-OCC Second Team (2014)

In the OCC Central Division (recognized as one of the most competitive conferences in the state, featuring the region’s #3 seed (Dublin Coffman) and #4 seed (Thomas Worthington), nine (9) players from the 2015 OCC Central Division Champions have received OCC All-Conference recognition.
